The Parish of Hannahstown lies to the

west of Belfast in country Antrim

Northern Ireland.


With a parish of around 2,500 scattered

over the area, the church services are

divided between St Joseph’s Church  on

Hannahstown Hill and St Peter’s Church,

“The Rock”, near Stoneyford.


There is a large Community Hall at

Hannahstown which provides a great

range of  activities and facilities for the

local community.

BAPTISM

In order to arrange a Baptism please call at the Parish Office with the child’s long birth certificate.  It must be one of the parents who makes the arrangement for the child’s Baptism.

St Joseph’s Church – Monday, Wednesday & Friday @ 9.30am. Vigil Mass Saturday @ 6pm. Sunday @ 11.30am.            

St Peter’s Church – Tuesday @ 9.30am.  Sunday @ 10am


KEEP CALM – SLOW DOWN FOR LENT

11am – 3pm Clonard Monastery, Saturday 24th February.  Time for you-time for God.  A chance for you to experience Lent differently, with space to pray and think, gently guided by Breige O’Hare.  Bring a packed lunch.  Tea/coffee provided.  Donation £5.  It’s a really popular day so booking is essential.

LENT IN TOBAR MHUIRE

You are warmly invited to a Talk Back evening in Tobar Mhuire on Wednesday 7th March at 7.30pm to explore signs of hope and challenges facing the church and our community today.  The panel includes Frs Brian D’Arcy and Gary Donegan from the Passionist community, along with Alan Mc Bride (CEO- Inspire) and Rev Caroline McAfee (former chaplain NI Hospice).  Voluntary donation.  Join the Passionist community for Taize style Prayer Around the Cross each Friday night during Lent, at 7.30pm.

LENTEN PIONEER PLEDGEMany people choose to abstain from alcohol during Lent.  Why not take this opportunity to perhaps help yourself or someone you know with an alcohol or drug problem by offering your sacrifice for freedom from addiction?  Please consider taking the short term Lenten Pledge and make a difference to someone’s life.  

Prayer: “I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all alcoholic drink until the end of Lent.”
